Ole Karsten Sundlisæter

Ole Karsten Sundlisæter (1976) er utdannet kirkemusiker og instrumentalpedagog fra Trøndelag musikkonservatorium, og studerte deretter i Paris (Conservatoire national de règion i Saint-Maur) hvor han tok diplom i harmoni, instrumentering og orgelspill. Sundlisæter har vært kantor i bl.a. Nidaros domkirke, Volda kirke, Hinna kirke, Tasta kirke og Stokka kirke (Stavanger), men er nå fulltids komponist, konsertorganist og dirigent. Sundlisæter har komponert en rekke verker for alt fra stort symfoniorkester, Symfonien The Ocean, – i mindre format som KLIMÉRDA, konsert for orgel, strykeorkester og pauker, og diverse kammermusikk. Produksjonen omfatter både vokalmusikk og instrumentalmusikk. Høsten 2014 ble hans oratorium ”Olav den Helliges dåp” fremført bl.a. i Stavanger konserthus. Høsten 2015 ble hans opera “Haugtussa i Helheim” fremført i Oslo konserthus. Sundlisæter er medlem av Norsk komponistforening. For mer informasjon, se hans hjemmeside HER!

Ole Karsten Sundlisæter (1976) graduated as a Cantor (Church Music) at the Trøndelag Conservatory in Trondheim, Norway (NTNU) gaining the highest honours in solo organ playing. Mr Sundlisæter is also a qualified teacher and has studied conduction and composition. Study continued in Paris (at the Conservatoire National de Region in Saint-Maur-des Fosses) where he was awarded the highest awards in harmony, instrumentation and organ performance. Sundlisæter has held organist’s posts in Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim, Volda church and Hinna church in Stavanger, and currently he is Cantor in Tasta church in Stavanger. He is also a freelance composer, concert organist and conductor. Sundlisæter is the founder and the conductor for Stavanger oratorio choir and the gregorian men’s choir Schola sanctus Svithun. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Wednesday concerts (Onsdagskonsert i Frue) at Frue cultural church in Stavanger. Sundlisæter is a member of the Norwegian Society of Composers.Sundlisæter’s production include two operas, one oratorio, one symphony, one concerto for organ and string orchestra, chamber music and vocal music.
